Google is reportedly offering $5 Giftcards to people in exchange for their Face Data

Google is now offering $5 gift cards (Amazon/Starbucks) to people in exchange for their face data to improve its face unlocking technology. Google will launch its next-gen Pixel phones. Pixel 4 & 4XL is likely to come with a FaceID-like face recognition technology. The report cites an engineer approached by Google employees, asking him to sign the waiver, interact with the phone for 5 mins & in exchange offered a gift card.
