Google set to acquire data-analytics firm Looker for $2.6 bn cash

On Thursday, Google announced that its Cloud business is set to acquire a business-intelligence and data-analytics firm, Looker for $2.6 billion. After signing the deal Looker will join Google Cloud. Google in a statement said that the addition of Looker to Google Cloud will provide the customers with a more comprehensive analytics solution. The purchase is being done for the convenience of the users of Google Cloud.
