The central government has green signalled the export of personal protective (PPE) equipment coveralls, ending the ban that was put since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country. The government has capped the export limit to 5 million PPEs per month. However, the ban on masks, medical goggles; nitrile rubber, or NBR, gloves; and face shields remains as it is. India is producing over one crore PPE units per month.
