India's exports rose by 6.16 percent in January 2021, trade deficit at $14.54 billion

The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has informed that India's exports grew by 6.16 percent from $25.85 billion in January 2020 to $27.45 billion in January 2021. "In Rupee terms, exports were Rs. 200,661.11 crore in January 2021, as compared to Rs. 184,369.73 crore in January 2020, registering a positive growth of 8.84 percent," the ministry said. The trade deficit for January 2021 stood at $14.54 billion.
