Joblessness in India rose to 6.98 percent in October: CMIE

The Coronavirus case has hit the economy and the job sector badly and the recent report by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) has made it even more evident. According to CMIE, the unemployment rate in India rose to 6.98 per cent in October from 6.67 per cent in September. Nearly 8.2 million people are struggling to find a way to meed their ends due to the economic crisis posed by the novel coronavirus.
