Apple defends the high cost of privacy after a passive-aggressive jab from Google over what was once a fundamental civil right into a luxury good. Google CEO Sundar Pichai hinted that Apple could only afford to respect users' privacy as its products are so expensive. However, Apple VP Craig Fredirghi said that he doesn't buy into the criticism levelled against the company by Pichai. Pichai's criticism of Apple has merit.
