Malnutrition causes low GDP estimates for India

According to the National Health Survey-4, malnutrition has caused India to lose 4% of GDP. 60% of Indian children, in between the age of 6-59 months are anaemic and only 10% of the country’s total children receive adequate diet. A large part of Indian population suffers from micronutrient deficiencies and according to ASSOCHAM, it is important to make people aware about healthcare, hygiene, nutrition.
