Mastercard plans to invest Rs 7,000 crore in India; to install office in Pune

In the time period of 5 years, the global payments giant Mastercard has planned to invest around Rs 7,000 crore in India. Out of the total amount, the giant is planning to contribute nearly $350 mn on a local payments processing center which is maybe open in another 18 months, creating work for 1,000 people. This will be Mastercard's first such processing center outside the US, most likely to open in Pune.
