McDonald ends 6-year long dispute with India partner, opts for out of-court settlement

McDonald & his partner strike an out-of-court settlement & ends a 6-year long dispute. The agreement states that MCD will buy out for an undisclosed sum Vikram Bakshi & his entities 50% stake in CPRL that operates MCD chain of restaurants in north & east India. MCD & Bakshi had signed a partnership agreement in 1995 to open the US fast-food chain in India for a period of 25 years & formed a 50:50 joint venture.
