Microsoft accidentally leaks 250 million customer service records

Microsoft revealed a database error that temporarily left about 250 million customer service & supports records accessible to anyone with a web browser. Security researcher Bob Diachenko had found the vulnerability on Dec 29th. Microsoft quickly fixed the issue 2 days later & says the exposure was caused by a misconfiguration of one of its internal customer support databases. It didn't find any evidence of malicious use.
