Modi Government approves 21 percent Dearness Allowance for central government employees

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced today in Delhi that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Union Cabinet on Thursday approved increasing dearness allowance for central government employees to 21 per cent from 17 per cent with effect from January 1, 2020. Javdekar further said that over 48 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners are going to be benefited from the decision. The hike will cost the government Rs 14,595 crore.
