MX Player bags a fresh funding of $111 Million from Tencent

Online streaming platform MX Player has received a fresh funding of $110.8 Million from Chinese conglomerate Tencent. The streaming platform will use the raised funds to generate more original contents and in expanding entertainment genres. The value of the brand has reached up to $500 million after the funding. This is Tencent's first bet in Indian OTT space and second bet in Times Internet owned entities.
