Nirav Modi seeks bail, approached UK Court

Absconder Nirav Modi has been in jail in the UK when a British court extended his remand till 27th June. After the extension, he applied for the bail in the UK High Court on Friday. The fugitive is wanted in India on fraud & money laundering charges amounting to nearly $2 billion. The UK’s CPS, representing Indian govt in the extradition case, said the hearing of Modi’s bail plea would take place on June 11.
