No money to pay states their GST share: Centre

In a first, the central government has admitted that it has no money to pay the state governments their share of GST revenues as was prescribed by the GST law. This has happened for the first time since the grand launch of the GST regime in 2017. The opposition has raised a strong voice over the inability of the centre to clear the dues. The information was given by Union Finance Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey.
