Padma Vibhushan awardee Satish Gujral passes away at 94

Satish Gujral, one of India’s most well known artists and a Padma Vibhushan awardee, passed away at the age of 94 on Thursday. He was a muralist, a painter, an architect, a designer, and a poetry lover. Some of his notable contributions included designing the Belgian Embassy in Delhi and making the alphabet mural that adorns the facade of the Delhi high court. Gujral was born in Lahore in 1925 and moved to Shimla later.
