Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said the purchase of Bhushan Steel under IBC proceeding is a "historic breakthrough" in settling issues with banks. Bamnipal Steel Ltd (BNPL), an entirely possessed auxiliary of Tata Steel, has effectively finished the obtaining of controlling stake of 72.65% in Bhushan Steel Ltd (BSL) for around Rs 36,400 crore. Banks can now offer affordable credit schemes to a major sector of the economy.
