Punjab National Bank admits 1,142 loan defaulters to Rs 25,000 crore

Punjab National Bank admitted 1142 defaulters who have defaulted to Rs 25000 crore. The bank initiated recovery proceedings by filing suits against 1108 defaulters & the amount expected to recover Rs 23,879 crore. The rest 34 owe the bank Rs 1210.5 crore, but no suits have been filed against them. The highest number of defaulters have been tracked from Maharashtra, Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh, Gujarat, UP & W Bengal.
