Rajnish Kumar appointed as new SBI chairman

As Arundhati Bhattacharya tenure as SBI chairman is going to end on Friday, Rajnish Kumar has been named as new chairman of State Bank of India, the country's biggest bank, by the government for a three-year term as chairman. Kumar currently heads the retail business at SBI and joined the bank in 1980 as a probationary officer. He will take over the position from October 7, 2017.
