Ratan N Tata today approached the Supreme Court challenging the order of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal which held him guilty of having taken oppressive and prejudicial steps against the interest of the shareholders of Tata Sons. On 18 December, NCLAT ordered reinstating Cyrus Mistry as chairman at Tata Sons. In October 2016, Mistry had been ousted as chairman at Tata Sons, while NCLAT has called the move illegal.
