Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he discussed the possibility of Apple acquiring Tesla during the "darkest days" with Tim Cook but the latter refused. “During the darkest days of the Model 3 program, I reached out to Tim Cook to discuss the possibility of Apple acquiring Tesla (for one-tenth of our current value). He refused to take the meeting,” Musk tweeted. Musk said the details about Apple’s future ‘iCar’ were “Strange, if true."
