Early in the morning, the chairman of the ITC group passed away at the age of 72. Though the cause of the death of YC Deveshwar is not known, for now, he was diagnosed with cancer a few years back. The man also received the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award in 2011. Under his leadership the company made progress. He joined the firm in 1968 and became the executive chairman of the company in 1996.
