Rivalry with Amazon costs Flipkart Rs 3,200 crore loss

The rivalry with Amazon has cost Flipkart Rs 3,200 crore in the financial year 2018, which is 70% higher than previous financial year. Flipkart India, the wholesale arm of Flipkart has witnessed the loss swelled up by 750% compared to the previous year. To take on Amazon, Flipkart was opting for aggressive marketing and huge discounts and according to analysts this loss making would continue till 2020.
