To avoid chairman Anil Ambani from going to jail for 3 months, RCom pays Ericsson dues of Rs 462 crore and mark the end of legal battle between the two companies which started when the Ericsson moved a bankruptcy court in 2017 alleging that it had not been paid dues after signing a 7-year deal in 2013. Last month, the SC had held Ambani contempt and threatened to send him to jail if the money wasn’t paid till March 19.
