On Wednesday, the benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices witnessed a fall, continuing their losing streak for the third day. The Sensex plunged 0.7% to 53,514.15 points, while the Nifty fell 0.57% to 15,966.65 points. The midcap indices edged up with the Nifty Midcap 50 gaining 35.1 points, or 0.46%, to settle at 7,660.85 points.
