Sensex rallies 2,100 points from day's low, up 7%; most since 2009

After plunging to a record depth yesterday amid the Coronavirus outbreak, the Sensex today surged 2,100 points from day's low. The Sensex rose as much as 7% that was its highest jump since 2009. Tyre makers MRF and Maxxis India on Wednesday announced a temporary shutdown of their plants in wake of coronavirus pandemic. Nifty also took a leap of 8,200 points to compensate for the bloodbath at the Dalal street.
