Sensex closes above 41,000 for first time, Nifty hits record high

Market benchmark BSE Sensex took a leap of 200 points in early trade on Wednesday led by gains in HDFC twins, TCS and RIL. The 30-share index was trading 207.41 points, or 0.51 percent after hitting a lifetime high of 41,075.76. On the other side, Nifty surged by 59.30 points, or 0.49 percent, to 12,096.75. Yes Bank was the top gainer in the Sensex pack rallying up to 5 percent, followed by the Tata Motors.
