Sensex witnessed major fall: Investors lost nearly Rs 3 lakh crore

Sensex has witnessed its worst fall since October 2018, and as a result the Indian equity investors lost around Rs 2.8 lakh crore of wealth today. BSE Sensex has closed 770 points lower on Tuesday while NSE Nifty also witnessed a fall of 50 points. However, the market researchers said the situation is not alarming yet even though they are expecting the market to correct further towards a fair valuation.
