In the previous year, Google spent nearly $1.2 million on the personal security of CEO Sundar Pichai, which has been doubled from the past years. This was revealed in a report submitted to the shareholders on Tuesday. While in 2017, $680,000 was spent on his security. The personal protection of the CEO was upgraded after an active shooter on YouTube's campus in 2018 left 3 employees injured.
