A malware attack on Tribune Publishing, which hurt back-office systems and disabled infrastructure used to publish and produce newspapers across their properties, led to a delayed distribution of The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun and other titles under the publication. It is believed that the attack came from outside the US and the attackers intended to disable production rather than steal information.
