US exporters facing tariff and non-tariff barriers in India, says report

According to the annual 2021 National Trade Estimate Report on Foreign Trade Barriers by the US Trade Representative (USTR), exporters in the US continue to face tariff and non-tariff barriers in India. "The United States has actively sought bilateral and multilateral opportunities to increase access to India's market," the report said while adding that programs like "Make in India" favour domestic production over importation.
