Zomato lays off 540 of it's employees to overcome competition
With the increased technology support at Zomato, it has expelled 540 of its employees. This has been done to increase revenue, as this would help them to decrease the commission charged on food delivery and overcome competition with other food delivery chain players in the industry. Only 7.5% support is required now to run the business smoothly, while the remaining is done technologically. Zomato says it is not cost-cutting.
