'100 cases every three seconds globally': WHO warns Covid-19 'not reaching its end game'

WHO said that the world reported 100 Covid-19 cases every three seconds on average last week and warned to not assume that the pandemic is reaching its 'end game'. The WHO Director-General said that since Omicron was first identified just nine weeks ago, more than 80 million infections have been reported to WHO - more than were reported in the whole of 2020.
