70% of adult population of EU likely to get vaccinated by July end

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has said that nearly 70 percent of the region's population is expected to get vaccinated by July-end this year. "With the enormous efforts of BioNTech-Pfizer and the acceleration of their vaccine deliveries, I am now confident that we will have sufficient doses to vaccinate 70 percent of the adult population in the European Union in July," Leyen said.
