A very large proportion of global population yet to receive Covid-19 vaccine doses: WHO Chief

WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said that a very large proportion of the world population has not received the coronavirus vaccine doses till now. Ghebreyesus said that high and upper-middle countries, that represent 53% of the world's population, have received 83 percent of the world's vaccine, whereas low and lower-middle-income countries, that account for 47% of the global population, have received just 17% vaccine.
