After Karnataka, Gujarat reports its first and India's third case of Omicron variant

Gujarat has detected its first case of Omicron variant of COVID-19. The state health department on Saturday (December 4) said that a Jamnagar man who returned from Zimbabwe was found infected with Omicron, as per PTI. The sample of the 72-year-old man was sent for genome sequencing, after he tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, the health department added.
