The state of Maharashtra has been struggling with the coronavirus outbreak and the Covid death toll has gone past the 1 lakh mark in the state. The state recorded its first Covid-19 death on March 17, 2020. 618 fresh deaths were recorded in the state on Sunday. Maharashtra accounts for nearly 29% of the country's Covid-19 death toll. The state has recorded as many as 100,130 deaths due to Covid-19 so far.
