ICMR study reveals more than 56% of Covid-19 patients with secondary infection have died

A new study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has revealed that nearly 56% of those Covid-19 patients who had developed a secondary infection, passed away. This was revealed after a study by ICMR across 10 hospitals in the country. As per the study, 3.6% of the 17,534 patients developed a secondary bacterial or fungal infection. The death rate in case of secondary infections was much higher than in Covid.
