India on Tuesday reported 36,604 fresh coronavirus infections, bringing the nationwide tally to nearly 95 lakh cases. Tuesday marked the third consecutive day that single-day infections fell under 40,000. In another positive trend, the recovery rate has now surpassed 94%. Meanwhile, 501 more fatalities in the past 24 hours pushed the death toll over 1.38 lakh.
