INS Shakti reaches Sri Lanka with 100 tonnes of oxygen amid surge in Covid-19

As Sri Lanka battles a significant surge in Covid-19 cases, India has transported 100 tonnes of oxygen to its Southern neighbour. INS Shakti reached Sri Lanka on Sunday with 100 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen. The oxygen was received by Sri Lanka's ports minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena at the port. The Indian Navy helped Sri Lanka with the oxygen supply on the request of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
