More lives can be saved by delaying second dose of coronavirus vaccine: Study

A new modelling study has revealed that delaying the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine can actually help in saving more lives. The modelling study is similar to the approach followed in UK, where the authorities decided to provide the second jab only after a 12-week difference from the date of administering the first dose. It has been found that Pfizer and Moderna provide nearly 80 percent protection after the first dose.
