As New South Wales faces a fresh wave of Covid, the lockdown in Sydney has been extended for at least another two weeks. The order was released by state premier Gladys Berejiklian. Sydney has been under lockdown for the past 3 weeks with 97 new cases of coronavirus being recorded in the last 24 hours. The highly contagious Delta variant has been unleashing havoc in the country with the authorities struggling to curb the outbreak.
