Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein, claimed through her lawyer that she was physically abused by a guard at a federal lockup in Brooklyn. She further claimed that she was punished for complaining about the abuse. “When Ms. Maxwell recoiled in pain and when she said she would report the mistreatment, she was threatened with disciplinary action,” Attorney Bobbi Sternheim wrote to Manhattan federal judge.
