'Boroloker Bitilo': Singer Badshah sent Rs 5 lakh to lyricist Ratan Kahar over plagiarism accusation

Badshah's latest single 'Genda Phool' featuring Jacqueline Fernandez includes a few lines from the Bengali folk song 'Boroloker Bitilo'. The song instantly became a hit among music lovers. But it drew a lot of negative attention. Many people quickly pointed out that the Bengali lyrics were originally written by Ratan Kaharin the 70s. Badshah responded to the accusations by extending gratitude & giving Rs 5 lakhs to Kahar.
