During a Q&A session on Twitter filmmaker James Gunn has assured fans that even though the COVID-19 pandemic has shut down productions, the release of his upcoming films 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3' and 'The Suicide Squad' won’t be postponed. He is donning the director’s hat for the DC Comics film 'The Suicide Squad', a reboot of David Ayer's 2016 action hit. The film is expected to release on August 6, 2021.
