Karnataka govt announces holiday & 3-day mourn over Girish Karnad death

The state govt of Karnataka has declared a holiday for schools, colleges, and government offices in the state on Monday, as a mark of respect to Jnanpith awardee, actor and writer Girish Karnad, who died earlier today at the age of 81. The state also declared 3-day mourning till Wednesday over his death. An official said that the proposed Cabinet expansion on Wednesday is likely to be postponed.
