Major film festivals to unite for YouTube event

Major film festivals such as Berlin, Cannes, Toronto and Venice are joining hands for an online event. Called ‘We Are One: A Global Film Festival’, it will be hosted by YouTube from 29 May. The decision comes after coronavirus wreaked havoc on many international events, as the film industry grounded to a halt. The 10-day digital alternative will raise funds for WHO’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund and beyond.
