In what qualifies as yet another sorrowful news pertaining to the Indian film industry, director Nishikant Kamat passed away after suffering from cirrhosis of the liver. He was undergoing treatment at a noted hospital in Hyderabad and is said to have had a relapse of the chronic illness. Kamat was the director of Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam that released in 2015.
