Twitter is under pressure from regulators & governments worldwide to remove extremist content more rapidly, and it suspended 166153 accounts for terrorism content in the 2nd half of 2018. The company announced that its technical tools were producing results with 91% of accounts promoting terrorism content, proactively suspended by its internal technology. There is a 19% drop from 205156 accounts suspended in the previous 6 months.
