For a while now, social media has been buzzing with videos of a Chinese city, Dunhuang, being struck by a sandstorm that raised over 100 meters in the northwestern region of the nation. The city, which is located on the outskirts of the Gobi desert, is frequently subjected to severe weather. The city was left reeling beneath a heavy blanket of dust in its aftermath. The footage shows a towering wall of sand crashing the city.
