100-year-old British World War II veteran Captain Tom Moore will be knighted after raising almost $40 million for healthcare charities during the pandemic. The knighthood, which has the title of ‘Sir’, will be issued by Queen Elizabeth II. Moore walked 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday in April to raise £1,000 for National Health Service charities. But it turned out to be a mega fund-raising event.
